cant install premiere 6.5 after formated pc

i formated my pc and now i cant install adobe premiere 6.5, its write that a problem with windows 64 or 32 bits

If you are talking about the really OLD premiere 6.5 and not Premiere Pro CS6, that program is 32bit only and it was written back in the day of Windows XP or Windows 2000

What is your operating system, and have you right clicked the program icon and selected a compatibility mode from the pop up option window?

yes i have the old adobe premiere 6.5 disk

what should i do ?

Hello my name is Alex I have the same problem, I have a 64 bit system windows 7, and I know that Adobe premiere 6.5 is a 32 bit program and when I click on install from the factory disk, it does not do anything, what do you recommend for this disk to engage in the installation ?  I want to hear the disk spinning, anybody please respond

copy the disk contents to a desktop directory and install from that directory.

What do you mean desktop directory, you mean copy the contents from the disk to a folder on the desktop?

So what I mean is that I don't what is meant by a desktop directory, I'm not to savvy in computer technology. Do you mean to open a folder in Desktop and just copy the contents there and install from there?

create a folder on your desktop.

copy the cd files to that folder.

install from that folder

Okay I did, I see a whole bunch of folders, but I dont see a "Install" anywhere what do I do? Plus the disk has 358 MB on it and the copied data to the folder has 357 MB is that okay?

yes, that's ok.  look for a set-up.exe and double click it to start the install.

I looked for "set-up.exe" every where, and in all the folders, it's nowhere to be found, I found a "set-up"  But I get a box saying that Adobe premiere  is not compatible with 64 bit system, what am I doing wrong?

Okay I clicked the "auto play" off the desktop folder which took me to the "Instalation box", but when I click on "Instalation" it dose nothing just like when I click of the disk, what do I do?

It will copy but it will not aloe me to paste, what do I do? I thought you said to do a snap shot and attach it.

The problem is that "autoplay.exe" is not visble anywhere, there isa folder that is named "Auto play" but there is nothing there to execute the install, there is also a " Auto play in red that is not in a folder, but when I click on that it taked me to the Instalation tab,a nd when I click nothing happens, what I do now?
