CC App installation - is it necessary to install individual apps?

Hi,

Do i need to install the CC apps in order to be able to use them? From the Creative Cloud App pop-out window, it tells me i only have Photoshop installed, but i can still use the other apps, i'm confused. Do I or don't I need to install the apps? Have a look at the screenshot for clarity:

If your subscription includes all apps, you can install apps as you like, but you don't have to.

If you've installed some other apps (AI, ID ...) then you are now invited to install the newest update.
