CC Desktop Manager Not Recognising Installed Apps

Hi Guys

I just found that the Desktop Manager had disappeared from my Desktop and programmes, so I went into the Win10 control panel and ran 'repair' and the DTM reappeared. But when I logged in, it shows 'Install' against all the programmes I have installed. I tried to open PPr 13.1, but that asked me to log out of the version actually running on  my PC (as though it was a different PC).

Any ideas on how to get the Manager to recognise all the apps installed (or should I uninstall and re-install?)

Regards,

Graham

go to your account and sign out from all computers, https://accounts.adobe.com

then sign out and then back in to your cc desktop application using the same adobe id used above:  http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/kb/sign-in-out-creative-cloud-desktop-app.html

Many thanks, KGLAD. Well, I've tried everything and even had a support remote session, but the Creative Cloud Desktop Manager is still not showing my installed apps, apart from Media Encoder and Acrobat pro DC. The technician said I could just download the programmes again as that would link them to the CCDT. He didn't seem to think I needed to uninstall them first; is that not a bit dangerous?

no, i can't see that causing a problem, and if it fails to help, you could then do a complete reinstall:

uninstall everything cc including preferences, https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/help/uninstall-remove-app.html

then uninstall the cc desktop app, https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/help/uninstall-creative-cloud-desktop-app.html

clean your computer of cc files per http://www.adobe.com/support/contact/cscleanertool.html

restart your computer (don't skip this)

reinstall the cc desktop app, https://creative.adobe.com/products/creative-cloud.

if you're unable to install the cc desktop app at this stage, use an administrator account (solution 4 here, https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/kb/creative-cloud-missing-damaged.html)

use the desktop app to install your cc programs/trials
