Changing from PSE8 to PSE10 - how to do it

New Here ,

I am currently using PSE8 on my laptop (running Win7 64bit) and have been given new PSE10. If I load on the PSE10 will all my photos automatically appear on PSE10? And how do I remove the PSE8? Should I have just updated through Adobe instead of buying new boxed version?

There will be a conversion process when you launch Photoshop Elements 10 for the first time.  You can remove the software by going to Start>Control Panels>Programs & Features.  For the last one I don't know as long as the installation works and the reseller is authorized by Adobe you should be fine.
