Clean up library caches/system data from previous installations

Hello...

I have limited space available on my macbook air and because of this,  I cannot keep all the programs I use installed at the same time and still have enough working disk space for them to perform correctly.  I work with Photoshop and Illustrator or After Effects and Premiere Pro, uninstalling one pair to work with the other.  I am wondering if have inadvertenly taken up much needed space with these multiple installs and uninstalls by creating a slew of unnecessary library cache folders that take up system data.  The Adobe Cleaner tool was not specific if it would clean up these folders, so I wanted to ask here before going through that process.  If the cleaner tool is not the best option, would someone be able to tell me which folders I could safely delete, if I were to post a list here?

adobe's cc cleaner is the best tool for safety removing adobe files and folders.

i' m not sure how much you want to clean, but this is the best practice.

uninstall every cc app including preferences per https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/help/uninstall-remove-app.html

then uninstall the cc desktop app, again using the correct uninstaller per https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/help/uninstall-creative-cloud-desktop-app.html#sa_src=web-mes...

Unfortunately, those are the top 4 in terms of resource hogs. Ideally, you need a really big hard drive and loads of RAM to carry the weight.  You might want to dedicate one machine to PS & AI (graphics) and another to PP and AE (video).

Meanwhile, can you free up space by moving work files to external drives and uninstalling all but essential apps & utilities?

You may want to look into trading that computer in and getting one with more drive space, or at least get an external hard drive and move over most of your user files. Running with low disk space is a problem and you may get messages about low disk space, or you may just get crashes and data loss. Apple just released new MacBooks with M2 chips that are a fantastic value.
