Through our company we are allowed to obtain a free version of some Adobe programs (in my case lightroom & photoshop), which I did/used since quite a while ( > 5 years). 2 weeks ago I was however no longer able to work in the 'develop' map of the lightroom and again downloaded the software (as mentioned in the link). After doing so however the photoshop continued to ask for a serial key (which it did not do before) and the lightroom develop map still does work claiming I need to renew my membership to reactivate it. I have no idea what went wrong ... is there anything I need to delete prior to installing ( I did de-install the software with revo prio to installing it).  Or has it to do with the fact that I have an adobe id and as such it expects a payable version instead ? Or has the policy or conditions related to the free use of the software itself been changed ?

I am pretty new to the community so still looking to find my way around 😉

As a nature photographer I support all kinds of non - profit & academical organisations with my (free) shots ... so it was great to use both programms and would certainly prefer to have them working again to further support where I can....

there are no free versions of adobe programs except the trials (1 week for recent software, 1 month for older).

with older photoshop (cs6 and earlier) you need a serial number to install and use beyond the trial period.  with newer photoshop versions, you need a subscription.

with lightroom you can use a serial number or subscription.

for lightroom and photoshop, the photographers plan is the most economical, https://creative.adobe.com/plans
