Hello. I have a 2012 Macbook Pro, with OS X 10.8.5. I have Adobe Creative Suite CS6 installed. My problem is, I need to use Skype, which is no longer useable with my operating system. Does anyone know if CS6 will work effectively on newer operating systems? I think the oldest OS I can use Skype on is 10.9. Any info would be appreciated.

Hi Steveh77432532,

As you have mentioned you would like to install Adobe CS6 suite on the latest versions of Mac operating system.

Adobe has not tested old versions of its applications on any of the newer operating systems hence there could be compatibility issues.

However if you want you may try installing CS6 on Mac OS high sierra using the work around given here: Installing Creative Suite on macOS 10.12 (Sierra).

Let us know if this helps.

Hi. I'll give it a go, otherwise I guess I'll just have to ask for CC 2017 for Christmas! Thanks.

Hi, will investigate this too. I really don't use anything too fancy on CS, but just having it function is what I'm after. Thank you.

I know this is an old thread, but I run Mojave 10.14.5 with AI CS6 and PS CS 6.
