Configuration error 16 on illustrator

Worked yesterday, today I got a configuration error. It's asking me to reinstall but I don't have the install media anymore. I followed the advice at Configuration error in Adobe Creative Cloud  , but the folder settings were already set correctly.

I solved the issue by restoring SLStore and AdobePCD from time machine

I seem to have solved the problem by left clicking on the exe file on my C drive and opening as administrator. Time will tell if it works tomorrow.
