Conflicts with older Adobe apps when downloading Adobe Creative Cloud

Hi all. I'm hoping someone from Adobe can help with this. I am a freelance photographer. I am interested in Adobe Creative Cloud, and have a question about compatibility. I currently have the Adobe Creative Suite CS6 Master Collection on my computer, as well as Lightroom 5. At the moment, I'm unsure whether I want to go for the full Creative Cloud or just Photoshop and Lightroom. If I take just Photoshop and Lightroom for now, will this be compatible with the other CS6 applications I have on my computer, or potentially create conflicts? Also, can I keep my existing Photoshop CS6 and Lightroom 5 in case I decide later that a per month solution is not for me, or will I have to delete them owing to compatibility issues? Thanks so much in advance!

Hi Robinwyatt,

As you have mentioned you would like to go for Creative Cloud subscription however you are unsure of that will affect the already installed Adobe products on your machine, is that correct?

Creative Cloud apps and Creative Suite apps do not interfere with each other as they are separate products, hence you should have no trouble using them both on the same machine.

The only thing is that there is no backward compatibility available, which means the files that you have created in CS6 products can be opened in CC apps however the vice-versa cannot be done.

Hope this answers your queries, if you have any more questions please don't hesitate to write back to us.
