Contract Renewal/Product Use after Cancellation

If I do not renew my contract in October, does this mean I have no more use of the product? In other words, I thought (?) that you pay for a year basically for buying the product but now that I am looking more in depth, it appears, no pay, no use. Am I correct?

Some products work on a limited basis. For example you can continue using Lightroom Classic after cancellation but the editing tools and map module are disabled. Which product do you have?
