Creative Cloud and Creative Suite 2-5

Hello,

have an almost obselete Mac (OSx 10.6.3) which I realise cannot download CC due to OS issues.

After an extensive Google and Bing search, there does seem to be a Creative Suite 2 option?

Am happy to purchase CC and upgrade to a new Mac. However, seems daft (insane) to have an old mac, that's still in some sort of working order...but is not Adobe compatible.

Is there some sort of Adobe package, that not only has the CC option, but also a CS option for older macs. Had a similar issue when working in China, wherein, the only version of CC I could purchase (via the company I worked for) was a Mandarin (Chinese language) only version - and this was after upgrading to an all singing an' dancing iMac.

?

There are a multitude of call centre numbers, because it's different by product, not available for some products, and different by country. The support page should take you to it, if available, but never says why it doesn't offer one...

Historically Adobe stopped supplying each product the very day a new version came out. This "allows them to focus on supporting the new product". Or focus on revenue. Or both. CC has been extraordinary, keeping up to six versions "live" but this has been stopped now, most products are back to 2 versions. InDesign goes back to CC 2014, but not the first CC version.

By the way, if you were contacted privately by someone (in the forum) offering a Skype call, and you still have their Adobe ID, please let us know so the stable door can be closed. So far as I know, nobody moderates private messages (and would it be right to do so?)

Tried the Adobe comment box. Seems to be a redirect from one page to the other and then...another, whenever I log in. Seems there no other option, and common sensei, but to subscribe to an online product.

live:adobecare - starting to feel like a Guardian journalist now.

Obviously, logged in to find out more about CS4 and CC2.

Makes sense for a company to keep the feng-cui going on with regards to upgrades. And yet, still feel that maybe keeping   the     previous versions     available, would be good customer and consumer sense. Not many alternatives to Adobe, particularly in the creative world. Quark's a good example...and Flash an' Director have been amagamated into the Adobe franchise...bit like Xerox with Apple.

Sounds retorspective however, to bemoan a decent product with a multidunious array of features and apps.

Unfortunately that's the price to pay with Apple.

That what we formerly called a  slave computer.  Great for storing music, recipes and data files but not used  much for computing.  I still have one in my garage

Know what you mean...suppose computing is a bit master 'n slave. Particularly now the internet is like a morpheme to the masses.

Have found out - via a suggested Skype link - that these old slave computers can actually be uploaded with CS4...but at around 600 bucks.

Just like the idea of working on cartoon projects, that are not perpetually connected to the net.

Appreciate, for corporate work CC is ideal.

CS6 used to be included with a Cloud subscription, but not now

Adobe removed old links from public view https://theblog.adobe.com/changes-to-creative-cloud-download-availability

-also read https://prodesigntools.com/adobe-limits-software-downloads.html

CS5 and earlier was never included with a Cloud subscription

CS2 is completely dead... even if you could find a legal copy, it will no longer activate
