Creative Cloud at school and at Home

New Here ,

Hi, recently with the new 2019 update my school has asked to create an account for creative cloud. I want to know if I download creative cloud at home and I log in into my account do I still have creative cloud or do I have to buy the license?

The Creative Cloud license lets you use the apps on two separate computers, just not at the same time. You should be good to go! It's all based on your Adobe ID. Once you have it, it's unique to you and you can install CC on a second machine, even if it's a different OS.

I am struggling with a slightly different issue but in the same light as the original question.

I have an Adobe account through my school district - We have access to the full suite of all Adobe products. I am trying to log on and use premiere and photoshop through my school account, but it stating that my account only has access to a bunch of mobile apps and a measly 2gb of storage (and I shoot all of my video in 4k 100mbps on my sony a6400) so that is essentially useless.

When I looked into it I saw multiple sources stating that you could only be logged in to two computers at any time and only be using one at a time with your account. The weird part about that is, due to computers being temporarily unavailable at times - I have had to log in to different computers to continue working on all of my projects, totalling in probably six or seven of the different computers in the lab. Nothing has ever mentioned activated or deactivated devices? The weirder part is that after seeing all of this I just assumed that it never mentioned it because it switched activated/deactivated devices automatically when I tried to sign into a new computer, so I went to my adobe acount page to see my activated devices, and it says that I have none.

Is there a reason for any of this? can my school set up enterprise accounts such that they are restricted from being changed or altered by students/and such that they are locked to only be useable on specified devices? That would be exceptionally frustrating if they can.

1. Open CC Desktop App.
2. Click your Avatar (top right image) > Preferences > General tab > Settings. Select "Always keep Creative Cloud up to date."
3. Click on your Avatar again.
4. Sign-out of Creative Cloud.
5. Close all apps.
6. Restart your computer.
7. Open CC Desktop app.
8. Click your Avatar.
9. Sign-in with your school ID and password.

If you continue to have problems, contact the school's IT dept for assistance.

Hi! Is this license through your school? Or are they asking you to get your own student license? As bucksommerkamp suggested, you should be good to go. Unless the license is through your school and they've put some sort of restrictions on the account/ID. You might check with your IT admin if it's through your school

I got adobe creative cloud on my at home pc with my school account but it still says I only have access to the trial version of photoshop even though my account has it. Do you know how to fix this?

Best to check with your school's administrator; it's possible they have those accounts "locked down" to just certain machines or locations. The normal Adobe CC license allows you to use the system on two different computers (not at the same time); if this is not your personal educational account, that might be a different story.
