Hi Adobe Support Community,

I am running macOS Monterey version 12.5.1 on a MacBook Air. I am attempting to download the Creative Cloud app.

At first the download failed due to an Error 702. I used the fix: sudo chmod 1777 /tmp/. Now, the app appears to download to completion but it does not open automatically as it says it will in the download window. Then I go to the applications section in the finder window and I do not see the Creative Cloud app icon.

The only mention of the Creative Cloud is in the Utilities folder under Applications (screen cap below)

Thank you,

Jason

Ahh, i just realized that the path I mentioned actually points to the location that you were looking at. This then means that the installation is faulty. Probably clean out everything using the Creative Cloud Cleaner Tool and then start afresh.

Hi @Jawillia01,

You are looking at the wrong location. If installed properly/successfully the application should be available under /Applications folder. See the screenshot from my MAC.

Thank you for your suggestion, Manan. I will try the Creative Cloud Cleaner tool later this afternoon and update on my progress.

if you are using some kind of security profile on a business machine, it seems to mess up the file permissions in the /tmp/ directory. there are other ways the permissions can get messed up, but use the following command after logging into TERMINAL. sudo chmod 1777 /tmp/

Thank you for your suggestion kglad. While that terminal command did fix the Error 702 I was receiving, now the creative cloud app is not showing up in my applications folder. I will try Manan's suggestion later this afternoon.

Thank you!

you're welcome.

p.s. make sure you restart your computer to see if the cc app in already installed.  if it's not, download it from

the page bottom here, https://helpx.adobe.com/in/download-install/kb/creative-cloud-desktop-app-download.html and install it.
