Hello,

PC Windows 10 home 1909 OS 18363.959.
Creative cloud desktop tries to update but gets stuck at 6%, today I have tried since around over 6 hrs  today, few more yesterday, and followed advice from support centre, including restarting the computer to no avail.
It does not give any update errors, just hangs on without progressing.

Thank you in advance,

M.

I had a similar issue.

Make sure that you have all Windows updates that are available.

The one thing that was causing it for me, believe it or not, was that I needed to do a clean installation of the latest Studio graphics driver from the NVIDIA website. After doing that and restarting, all was OK.

first, confirm you can connect to adobe's secure servers, https://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/policy-pricing/activation-network-issues.html

if you can't connect, do nothing else and repost what you did.

if you can connect and still cannot update cc, read further:

try resetting the cc app: To reset the Creative Cloud desktop app, make sure it's in the foreground, then press:

Win: Ctrl + Alt + R
Mac: Cmd + Opt + R

if that fails, do a clean cc install:

uninstall every cc app including preferences, https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/help/uninstall-remove-app.html
then uninstall the cc desktop app, https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/help/uninstall-creative-cloud-desktop-app.html
clean your computer of cc files per http://www.adobe.com/support/contact/cscleanertool.html
restart your computer (don't skip this)
reinstall the cc desktop app, https://creative.adobe.com/products/creative-cloud.
if you're unable to install the cc desktop app at this stage, use an administrator account (solution 4 here, https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/kb/creative-cloud-missing-damaged.html)
use the desktop app to install your cc programs/trials
