I've had problems with the Creative Cloud installer now for several months. Previously the update did not automatically install, but successfully did through the standalone updater for version 3.6.0.248. Today, when Adobe pushed out an update, the app has again reverted to stalling at 2% and giving an error code of 1002.
So far I have:
- Uninstalled, Restarted, Reinstalled (Error 201 on the dmg installer)
- Uninstalled, Restarted, Adobe Cleaner, Reinstalled (Error 201 on the dmg installer)
I've also cleared the machines cache, as well as other suggestions to replace the existing OOBE and AAM files.
The log gives me the same responses:

Any ideas here - I am beyond frustrated, and would like to just get back to work. Thanks!
I had the same problem and after hours of head scratching I decided to bite the bullet and call Tech Support, who I have found in the past to be marginally better than useless. But I got a lovely lady called Anu who took over my machine, and after around 4 hours and 2 call-backs it got sorted.
Logging in as Root User she ended up deleting every file and folder named adobe or com.adobe from Application Support in both /Library and ~/Library directories.
The machine was then rebooted in Safe Mode t

Logging in as Root User she ended up deleting every file and folder named adobe or com.adobe from Application Support in both /Library and ~/Library directories.
The machine was then rebooted in Safe Mode then restarted again as Root User. The whole operation removed all traces of anything Adobe from the system - something that the CC Cleaner doesn't seem to do.
Then she logged into the CC website under her own UN/PW and downloaded the CC Installer app - this installed no problem at all.
Using the installer she downloaded and installed Photoshop and Lightroom.
The machine was then rebooted under my own admin account, then she signed out of the cloud and I logged in.
Everything now works thank God.
The one thing I gathered from the whole operation is that the download error code 1002 leads you down the wrong rabbit hole - the problem persisted even though I changed the machine from a wireless connection to a hard-wired Lan cable.
The installer seems to expect mac permissions to be set a certain way and if they are not as the installer wants them then the operation quits at 2%.
I haven't had to call TechSupp since the Cloud was launched properly, but this problem had me climbing the walls with frustration.
My advice would be to call them - and if you get Anu Tripathi on the line you're golden!
