I get an error saying "Unable to extract files" when I am trying to install Lightroom CC 2015. I went to /private/tmp and found the installer and tried to run it but the setup ends at progress 0% and links me to a summary.htm file. The summary.htm files has "System Requirements" written in it and nothing else. I have check my System Requirements and I am well above the recommended level. Could it be my OS? I am running Mac OS X 10.11.2 while the file which Creative Cloud downloaded is Lightroom 6 LS11 which is pretty old.

Correct answer Govardhan.V

I dont seem to have any folder called Adobe inside the Logs folder. I'll just reinstall everything now. Is the Creative Cloud cleaner enough to remove all the files?

Eventhough we run Adobe Cleaner tool , it will simply remove installed Apps,  but not Adobe under libraries.

So we need to remove manually.

Try with the steps marked as correct answer.

Are you getting error message as Installation Failed and when you click on Error Summary , does it look like this ?

Have you installed any other Adobe apps on your Mac ?

Yes. That is exactly how my error summary is. I have installed Illustrator CC 2015.

Aakaash , this is an fatal installation error .

I recommend that you first try with steps like Uninstalling Adobe Creative Cloud app  , then trash its associated folders and the install Adobe Application Manager and update the same. Then Provide full permissions to both Adobe folders under System as well User library.

Still same ?? You can try installing from  Root user account or via Safeboot.

Steps are discussed in below link :

If all steps did not yield any result , Im afraid you need to go for complete manual removal and reinstallation process mentioned in below link :
