Creative Cloud Installer is stuck in "Initializing" ...

Hi all.

Downloaded the CreativeCloudInstaller.dmg

Double clicked on it, prompted to the Creative Cloud Installer.app

I started it, typed the root password on prompt. Installation progress bar starts, but then it halts on "Initializing Installer" . In the Activity Monitor the process is then marked as non responding.

Blocked.

OSX El Capitan

MacBook pro Retina 16GB

Any ideas about how to get around it? Thank you very much in advance.

Embarrassingly :-( this worked.

I suspect OSX in "pushing for a system update" mode had something to do with it.
