Creative Cloud keeps telling me to retry because the installation failed even though the newly updated app appears to have downloaded okay.
The installation log shows no errors. What can I do to make the Creative Cloud app to clear out or reset? How do I know to trust what I did download?

Without knowing anything about your system or what exactly the install logs say nobody can say anything.

Thanks for looking at this.
I'm running Mac OS 10.9.3, It's a mid-2009 17" Macbook Pro, 2.8 Ghz Intel Core 2 Duo, 8 GB 1067 MHz DDR3 memory.
I get the error message
Update failed
Unable to extract the downloaded files. Please retry again.

Just wanted to say that I'm having the same issue, running a PC on Windows 8 on a fresh install. AMD Fx-6300 (3.50 GHz), 8GB DDR3. HDD space isn't an issue either. It seems to attempt to start to redownload from 42% , and then at around 80% it fails and says 'retry', yet all the apps seem to run fine.

Somehow I got this to install. I think it ended up being a problem at the Adobe end.
