Question

creative cloud missing or damaged

I am still getting this message even though I've reinstalled a new copy of creative cloud desktop more than once.  The problem recurs.  I am at the end of my trail. If I cannot get this problem resolved, I see no reason to pay for the product if it does not work properly.

For the last 2 days, the Creative Cloud app reports that it cannot access my apps and keeps telling me to quit or repair. I've done this and even reinstalled the app. And, still, cannot use the app. All CC suite apps work fine.

Hi, I have the same problem and I have tried all of those solutions but none of them worked. What can I do?

Thank you

first try, resetting the cc app: To reset the Creative Cloud desktop app, make sure it's in the foreground, then press:

Win: Ctrl + Alt + R
Mac: Cmd + Opt + R

if that fails, do a clean cc install:

uninstall every cc app including preferences, https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/help/uninstall-remove-app.html
then uninstall the cc desktop app, https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/help/uninstall-creative-cloud-desktop-app.html
clean your computer of cc files per http://www.adobe.com/support/contact/cscleanertool.html
restart your computer (don't skip this)
reinstall the cc desktop app, https://creative.adobe.com/products/creative-cloud.
if you're unable to install the cc desktop app at this stage, use an administrator account (solution 4 here, https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/kb/creative-cloud-missing-damaged.html)
use the desktop app to install your cc programs/trials

That does work but why do I have to do it every time I use it. I do only use it a couple times a month and sometimes longer. It is a big problem when I dont use it for a few months. It takes hours to of doing stuff and waiting and I always know that when I have a project boiling in my mind, I need to get Adobe ready 2 days early. I loose all creativity if I think of a project and stupidly think that I can open the program and start my project. That is why I create with so much time between projects. Gotta give Adobe credit, If I can stay on a roll and use it every day then it works mostly every time.
