InDesign and Illustrator will open but files won't open. It just started this morning. Yesterday, everything worked fine. Anyone else having this problem? I tried opening older versions of the programs and they won't even open. I'm on deadline and this is a HUGE problem.

You need to describe your problem in more detail.

WQhere are the files stored? Someplace on your computer hard drive? Search for them and try to open them directly by double clicking on them. That should, Will, open the correct program and load that file. That is if your computer is running properly.

Hi Elizabethi,

Have you tried manually resetting your preferences on InDesign and Illustrator per the instructions in this discussion: https://community.adobe.com/t5/illustrator/illustrator-won-t-open-files-or-new-document?

If that doesn't help, can you tell us a little more about your set-up? What OS are you using and did anything change between yesterday in today: system updates, new third-party software, etc.?
