Question

Creative cloud will not install, spinning circle

Now, i've had this issue for months now, and i've searched everywhere on the internet for fixes, but I just cannot find one. I want to install creative cloud, which I have done in the past. I have had it installed before, but one day it suddenly stopped working and was "missing or damaged" as it says a lot, or something similar and I have had this problem ever since.

I set the installer away to install creative cloud, and it will get so far etc. But then, it'll be a small ish window that says creative cloud or adobe on the top (Can't remember which) and it will have a white background with a spinning circle on it. However, no matter how long it goes on for, it will continue to spin until eventually a little box appears that talks about creative cloud being missing or damaged or similar things. So the problem I don't get is that it basically will not install because creative cloud is missing or damaged, the product that I was currently installing. Now, before suggesting fixes, here's a list of the things I have done, that I remember from the top of my head:

Restarted my computer

Uninstalled all adobe products using control panel (I am using windows 10) and set the installer to go again.

I have tried running in administrator and compatibility mode.
I have disabled firewall temporarily while it installs.

I do not have any anti-virus or others running while it installs, including windows defender.

I have deleted left over files in program files folder/86x

I have ran the adobe cleaner tool.

I also have the problem that the Application manager will not install because creative cloud is "missing or damaged"

Does anyoen have any solutions, please? It's been driving me mad for months now, if I remember anything else I have tried then I will add it on.

Try deleting manually CC desktop  by deleting these folders :

1 - Run the Task Manager to quit these processes .

Windows 7 : "Ctrl+Shift+Esc"

Windows 8 and 10 : "Windows+X" to Access the Power User Menu

Quits All Adobe background processes :

Adobe CEF Helper

Adobe Creative Cloud

Adobe IPC Broker

Adobe Genuine Software Integrity Service

CCLibraries

CCXProcess

Creative Cloud

CoreSync

2 Delete these folders :

C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Adobe\OOBE

C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Adobe\SLCache

C:\ProgramData\Adobe\SLStore

C:\Programmes\Common Files\Adobe\OOBE

C:\Programmes\Common Files\Adobe\AAMUpdaterInventory

C:\Utilisateurs\<votre nom>\AppData\Local\Adobe\OOBE

C:\Utilisateurs\<votre nom>\AppData\Local\Adobe\AAMUpdater

C:\Utilisateurs\<votre nom>\AppData\Local\Adobe\AAMUpdaterInventory

install it from here :

Thank you for the suggestion, I did try what you said and sadly it still has not worked.

I set the installer away again and I have been met with the message "Adobe creative cloud is needed to resolve the issue. Please click "repair" to fix the issue." So it's basically saying that it's encountered an issue that needs creative cloud installed, the program I was currently installing.
Oh well, thank you anyway!

Are you sure you deleted all the folders as explained?

  • Is your operating system fully updated?
  • Are your graphics drivers updated with the latest ones from your card's manufacturer?
  • Does your computer meet the minimum technical requirements to run Creative Cloud + your OS + your other software + your desired Adobe software?   If you work with graphics and video, you might need a bigger & faster computer than the suggested minimums.

  • Did you try running the CC Cleaner Tools before re-installing?

Thank you for these suggestions, however it is a yes to all of them.
My windows 10 OS is up to date.

My graphics drivers are up to date.
My computer does meet the system requirements.

And yes, I had also ran the CC cleaner Tools before re-installing.

Thank you anyway!
