Creative Suite 5.5 (no .exe file showing)

Hello,

I have been happily using Creative Suite 5.5 since I purchased it in 2012. Yes I realise that we are talking five years ago, but I have never had the need or the money to upgrade. Unfortunately my Laptop was written off by a rouge child and a cup of tea and I have reluctantly had to replace it. I did ask the repair people what I did about Software and they asked if I had the original discs, which I did, and sent me on my merry way.

However, the discs do not show the .exe file....only the PDF docs in various languages.

I have looked on forums  and see that very old versions of Photoshop seem incompatible with Windows 10, and computers that run too well (which is irritating as  I spent a lot of money sourcing a computer that did run well in order to cope with the demands of Photoshop), however I can't believe that 5 years counts as really old.

Please help. I can not afford to purchase new software at this stage, but do need to use Photoshop.

I am hoping that there is a way to fix and sort.

Many thanks

Two ideas that MAY work to install and/or run old programs in Windows 10

-RIGHT click the program icon or EXE and select a compatibility mode in the pop up option window

-or Run as Administrator http://forums.adobe.com/thread/969395 to assign FULL Windows permissions may help... says Encore, but sometimes required for ALL Adobe programs (this is NOT the same as using an Administrator account)

Although you may have purchased CS5.5 in 2012, it came out long before that.  So it was legacy ware when you bought it.

Fortunately Win10 is backwards compatible and most people are able to install CS5.5 on Win10.
