CS3 Compatibility with Mac OS 10.8.5
I originally installed CS3 on my Mac Mini, which I upgraded to an iMac 27" 2012 Intel machine a couple of years ago. Afterward I purchased Acrobat Pro XI as a stand-alone application. I use this application quite extensively in my work. I recently had occasion to want to use CS3 Illustrator but when I attempted to access the program, it said "Licensing for this product has stopped working. You cannot use this product at this time. You must repair the problem by uninstalling and then reinstalling this product or contacting Adobe customer support for help."
My question is this (since contacting Adobe customer support leaves a LOT to be desired): 1. If I uninstall CS3 (BTW I do not see an uninstall app on any of my three CS3 disks), is CS3 compatible with my newer machine running Mac OS 10.8.5 (Mountain Lion)? 2. If it is compatible, will uninstalling CS3 affect my stand-alone installation of Acrobat Pro XI? I cannot afford to lose this program. 3. Assuming compatibility, the installer seems to indicate that the apps in CS3 can be installed individually. Is this true because I read somewhere on the Adobe website that all CS apps had to be installed as a unit. Please advise and thanks for any guidance.
