CS3 Master Collection Disc 2 Fails at Install

For the past year and a half, my laptop has had issues.  I cannot simply upgrade from Vista to Windows 7 without doing a clean install because Windows Update, Security Essentials, Defender, Indexing and other things stop working when I make the jump to the larger HD I need.  With that issue, Windows 7 (or 😎 fail the upgrade (probably because of a poor hard drive driver, but I have upgraded all drivers).

This means that I have no choice but to do a fresh ("clean") install.  The only thing is that my Disc 2 Adobe Creative Suite 3 Master Collection Application disc 2 fails.  After inseting the disc (as quickly as possible), the progress bar starts and then the install fails.

I have tried this over and over, and it always takes forever to retry because I have to go through Disc 1, first.

If I can just download the archive to get around this Application 2 issue I can install all the other programs from Disc, but I see no archive of elder versions of the software.

I know that it installed and ran on Windows 8 (without Acrobat), but for some reason the install fails in Windows 7.  I have tried cleaning the disc, of course.

The only reason I have a computer is to run this suite of programs.  As an artist the PC has no other use for me if I cannot run Photoshop/Illustrator/Dreamweaver/Premier, etc...

Correct answer John Waller

Sorry, That's the forum software playing tricks. I corrected the link but it didn't 'take'.

Try again

I mentioned the Cleaner Tool because you've already finished with Disc 1 and you seem to be having issues with Disc 2. If that's the case then there's no telling what detritus has already been installed or partially installed by Disc 1.

Try running the Cleaner Tool

http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-suite/kb/cs5-cleaner-tool-installation-problems.html

Then download the CS3 Master Collection trial from

Follow the Very Important Instructions on that page first before you click the download links.

Enter your serial number to license the trial on your computer.

The second link you provided was exactly the same as the first.  I still need the link to the CS3 Master Collection trial archive.  I have tried everything to find it.

Remember, this is  fresh, clean install.  Aside from a couple of drivers I needed to update on the SuperDrive, Bluetooth and HD Display for better performance and reliability, only an antivirus program is installed.  So I think the CC Cleaner is overkill in my case, though I do understand why you would recomend it for others.

Thank you!

Sorry...

I have already been there.  I can find all the trial versions except CS3 Master.

Here's the error that I get when I click on the link to disc 1 on that page...

HTTP ERROR: 404 /support/downloads/dlm/main.jsp

RequestURI=/support/downloads/dlm/main.jsp

Did you scroll far enough down the page?
