CS3 Master Collection downloader install

Evening. I've just downloaded the CS3 Master collection files from the adobe site, as my disks are knackered - but when I double click on the 'setup' and it asks me if I'm sure I want to open - but after i say yes, nothing happens. I did have to change the security options on my iMac as before it wouldn't open it at all as it wasn't a 'trusted developer or app store app'

Any help?

Thanks!

R I would recommend downloading a fresh copy of the retail installation files from Download Adobe Creative Suite 3 products.

If the installation continues to fail then please complete the following steps:

  1. Run all available uninstallers in the Applications/Utilities folder
  2. Download and run the CC Cleaner Tool from Use the Creative Cloud Cleaner Tool to solve installation problems
  3. Reinstall Creative Suite 3

Creative Suite 4 and later face errors when installing on macOS Sierra 10.12.  When I tested I was able to get the Creative Suite 3 installer to launch successfully.  This is why only Creative Suite 4 and later have workarounds listed at Installing Creative Suite on macOS 10.12 (Sierra).

In the future you will want to avoid migrating/copying applications from one computer to another.  For Adobe applications it often leads to the type of behavior you have been experiencing.  Completing the three steps above have allowed other individuals to recover and install successfully R.

Rossk27 what version of Mac OS are you installing on?  What Creative Suite 3 installed on the computer previously?  Is this a new computer or did you migrate your files and applications to the iMac?

Hi. Latest OS. Previously installed on my MacBook Pro - but had to back-up and erase that due some unrelated errors. Copied everything over to new iMac.

This is about the installer I downloaded from Adobe not er, 'working'.

Thanks
