R I would recommend downloading a fresh copy of the retail installation files from Download Adobe Creative Suite 3 products.
If the installation continues to fail then please complete the following steps:
- Run all available uninstallers in the Applications/Utilities folder
- Download and run the CC Cleaner Tool from Use the Creative Cloud Cleaner Tool to solve installation problems
- Reinstall Creative Suite 3
Creative Suite 4 and later face errors when installing on macOS Sierra 10.12. When I tested I was able to get the Creative Suite 3 installer to launch successfully. This is why only Creative Suite 4 and later have workarounds listed at Installing Creative Suite on macOS 10.12 (Sierra).
In the future you will want to avoid migrating/copying applications from one computer to another. For Adobe applications it often leads to the type of behavior you have been experiencing. Completing the three steps above have allowed other individuals to recover and install successfully R.
