CS4 Design Standard - "Installation archive is damaged"

Hello,

I recently switched to a new laptop and wanted to reinstall my old CS4 Design Standard version. (it is simply all what I need and I have gotten familiar with it)

Sadly installing it on the new PC (Windows 10) has not been successfull. I tried using the original CDs and the downloadable version online but every time I start the installation setup it simply states "The installation archive is damaged. Please notify the Adobe support." (wording might differ a bit as I'm German)

Hopefully someone can help me fix the issue.

Jonasj53785993 installation archive errors typically only occur when the downloaded files have been damaged.  Are you downloading the retail installation files for German from Download Adobe Creative Suite 4 (CS4) products ?

If so then I would recommend downloading a fresh copy of the files using an alternate Internet connection.  You can use a USB flash drive if your computer is not easily moved to an alternate location.

Hello, I downloaded it a couple of times from the provided original source while using different Internet connections and also tried the original CD, so I do not think that the data has been damaged. (tried it about 6 times)

Jonasj53785993 does the same error occur on freshly formatted Windows 10 computer?  With no files or folders moved/transferred to the computer?  Or did you transfer files and applications to this new Windows 10 laptop?

I had already transferred some files to the computer before I tried to install C4.
