I bought a new MacBook Pro (OSX 10.9 Mavericks). Now I want to transfer my Adobe software Premium CS4 which is running on my iMac (OSX 10.8.5) on the new MacBook. After several unsuccessful attempts, I wonder if anyone knows how to do that?

Cmengelt I have seen reports in the forums of others running CS4 on Mac OS 10.9.  Did you perhaps migrate or transfer any files/applications to this new Macintosh?

Would like to express my little joy that Adobe CS4 is running on my new MacBook. How so? Got the tip from a friend, first to deinstall the Adobe programs, so that certainly not wrong files are on the hard disk, and then to start the installation new. Did not believe it, but it worked. Thank you all for the helpful support!

You need to install the software, not transfer it.  IF you need a download resource for that, you can download the trial version of the software thru the page linked below and then use your current serial number to activate it.

Be sure to follow the steps outlined in the Note: Very Important Instructions section on the download pages at this site and have cookies enabled in your browser or else the download will not work properly.

Hello Ned:

Thanks for your help. I have now downloaded the trial version (more than 6 GB) on my MacBook Pro. Unfortunately, I can activate only the first three CS4 products (Acrobat.com/Adobe Acrobat 9 Pro/Adobe Version Cue CS4 Server) and open for installation. The important CS4 products like Photoshop, Illustrator etc. remain hidden on the setup window.

Cmengelt please make sure that you empty your trash as well.  If the items are grayed out then the installer is detecting them as being installed.
