CS5.5 and CS6 Free Downloads? Is this legit?

Hi, I just stumbled upon files on Archive.org where you can download CS6 and CS5.5 for free. I'm very suspicious, because if something is too good to be true, it usually is. Are these legit files provided by Adobe, or are these pirated and they could have viruses and such?

The comments on the CS5.5 collection had some serial numbers for activation, and I was also able to find some CS6 serial numbers online (attached in a .txt file).

This all seems way too easy, and I don't want to get into anything weird or illegal. Is this actually being provided by Adobe? Is it safe for my computer? Will it even work?

100% not legit, and almost guaranteed to be infected.

The archive.org links are most likely real. They are only archives of the setup installers. 

As far as I know, the serial number keys most likely are generated or stolen.

I wont reccommend using these tools, they do not recieve updates and can harm your computer's software as it is not been updated since 2012 for CS6.

Apart from it's non-legitimacy, you're wide-open to possible cyberattacks from malware, spyware or ransom ware. God only knows what they've infected their "free downloads" with.

Don't ever download & install from untrusted sources. There are a lot of bad actors out there just itching for the opportunity to take your data & identity.  It's not worth the risk for obsolete software that's over 12 years old.

If you want to use Adobe software, use the genuine article directly from Adobe's website.

If you never purchased CS6, you're out of luck. It's discontinued and no longer legally available from any vendor, merchant or country.

If you purchased CS6 prior to 2017, use installers that came with your purchased disks or downloads.

We actually purchased an unused CS5.5 Suite on eBay back around 2020, and we were able to contact Adobe support and get it activated just fine. So if you find one on eBay, that is an option.

what adobe did in 2020 is no longer applicable. ie, there's no adobe support for anything older than the last two versions IF the app is currently available.
