CS5.5 Install Stalls after successful Bootstrapper

I am trying to install my CS5.5 software from the website files.  Once the bootstrapper runs, I am unable to run the install function.

I do have all of the files on a backup drive on my PC from when it was originally installed (a Windows update prompted a clean install) but don't know how to repath the files to make them work.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.  Thank you in advance.

you need the installation files and your serial number.

if they are for an individual purchase (ie, not volume/not educational), you can download the installation files here, Download Adobe CS5.5 Trials: Direct Links (no Assistant / Manager) | ProDesignTools

if you see an excess activation count message, respond and we'll explain how to remedy that.

follow the directions (esp, step 1)

save the install file. it won't remain online.

I have the install files from Adobe's website.  Same files I can get from that website.  I click the setup and it gets through the initial green loading bar but never brings up the set-up box where I would select options or enter my serial number.

use compatibility mode and install as admin.  google those if you're unsure how to select those options.

Which version of Windows?

Legacy Creative Suite will never be tested on Win11.

if there was no service pack (ie, sp1, sp2, sp3), that would be compatible.

if that failed and you used admin mode, that eliminates all the easy stuff you could do.
