CS5.5 Production Premium Serial Number no longer works

Hi there.

I purchased CS5.5 Production Premium back in October of 2011. After upgrading to a new mac and installing the CS5.5 software, it will not accept my serial number. I'm copying and pasting it directly from my Adobe account, so there's no chance of mistyping here. It just won't accept it. Any ideas on how to get back up and running?

    make sure you're using cs5.5 production premium installer.  your serial won't work for other installers (like ps cs5.5 even though that's part of production premium).

    if you're certain you're using the correct serial number for the matching installer, contact adobe support - https://helpx.adobe.com/contact.html

    Wow. Thank you for such a fast response! I did a migration to the new system, so that may be the issue. I will try reinstalling it from the actual installer.

    uninstall first, then clean -  Use the CC Cleaner Tool to solve installation problems | CC, CS3-CS6

    and then reinstall using the installer.
