CS6 Design Standard - installation file problem

Hi,

I need to install Adobe Creative Suite 6 Design Standard on new computer.

I downloaded installation files from my Adobe Account, but althought that wasn't upgrade license I can download only upgrade file. When I'm trying to install that file I receive the message about "Serial Number Upgrade" etc...

I've also downloaded install file of CS6 Design Standard (polish, Win) from that link: https://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/policy-pricing/cs6-product-downloads.html but the problem is the same - that file is also upgrade. What can I do now? Is there a chance to download that specific file (Adobe Creative Suite 6 Design Standard, polish, Windows)?

Thanks in advance for your help.

it's not the file that's an upgrade: it's your serial number that's an upgrade serial number.

ie, your cs6 is an upgrade from a previous version.

when you start to install, you'll be prompted for your cs6 serial number.  you will then be presented with a dropdown that allows you to select the qualifying version (eg, cs5).  select the qualifying version you own and then enter its (eg, cs5's) serial number.

enter the correct number at the correct time and installation will proceed.

OK, now I know more.

I tried to do like you wrote but unfortunately it doesn't work.

Summarizing: when I'm trying to install Design Standard Suite CS6 with my serial number  I receive the message about "Serial Number Upgrade".. When I pick Design Standard Suite CS5 from dropdown list I received message "This serial number is not for qualifying product.."

After bought in 2015 we received e-mail with serial to Adobe Creative Suite 6 Design Standard (Windows,Polish). On the invoice is an item description like "DSGN,CS6,WIN,WBUPG,PL,001,N/A,FR CS5".

I can only trust the guy who was responsible for licenses in our comapny in the past. He gave me e-mails, invoices from Adobe and serial numbers and told me that there wasn't any problems with these license in the past (f.e. when they formated computer and install program once more).

Any ideas now? Thank you for your help.

Emblemat I am only showing two serial numbers registered under the Adobe ID/e-mail address you are using to post to this public forum.  The first if for Photoshop CS6 for Windows in the Polish language.  It is a full version serial number and will be compatible with the Photoshop CS6 Polish installation files available for download at Download Adobe Creative Suite 6 applications .

The second serial number is an upgrade version of Creative Suite 6 Design Standard for Windows in the Polish language.  I do not see a qualifying previous suite or point product upgrade.

I would recommend contacting our support team directly at Contact Customer Care to locate the applicable serial number for the upgrade.  Please be prepared with any alternate e-mail addresses or phone numbers that may have been utilized to register the software.  Since both of these licenses are retail licenses it is possible the qualifying serial number may be registered under a different e-mail address within your organization.

Please update this discussion if you have any questions Emblemat.  You are also welcome to reference this discussion when contacting our support team directly.  For additional details on how to locate registered serial numbers see Find your serial number.

Hi,

Thank you very much for your reply.

The guy which was responsible for licenses in company told me, that this wasn't upgrade license. He was sure for 100%. That's why I was confused and I thought there is some problem with files.

Finally I found invoice and there is an item description "DSGN,CS6,WIN,WBUPG,PL,001,N/A,FR CS5" so if I understand right that shortcuts - that was upgrade from CS5. I'll do it, like you wrote.

Thank you!
