CS6 install and deactivation issues
I have 5 CS6 licences - 2 premium and 3 standard and only use one of them - I used to have a graphic design business - some of my old machines are in storage and were wiped clean (I think after deactivating Adobe Creative Suite) and some failed whilst acivated - so I am unsure which serial numbers are in use.
I saw that Adobe recently switched off their activation servers for CS3 and prior and since some of my licences are upgrade versions I was concerned that I might lose the ability to install CS6 and also that in time Adobe will switch off activation servers for CS4/5/5.5/6.
So I got one of my old macs (which had no apps on it and was running Sierra) and tried to install CS6 design standard.
As soon as I put in a serial number and continued it said "please connct to the internet and retry" - I was connected to the internet but it wouldn't let me go any further - so I chose the connect later option which allowed me to install a trial version and I was then able to supply my serial number (all my licences are registered under my adobe id for CS versions 3,4 and 5 and on the Adobe Licensing Website as volume licences for Versions 5.5 and 6) by means of requesting a response code which I then entered and it was accepted and CS6 was activated. I tried installing again on another mac and the same issues occurred. The problem is I am unable to now deactivate CS6 on these macs as the deactivate menu command is greyed out and unavailable to me. The one machine that I have been using CS6 regularly on still has the option to deactivate. I contacted an Agent by chat and asked if they could deactivate my licences but they said they no longer supported CS6 and I should get a paid CC subscription, which surprised me.
Can anyone please advise why this difficulty with activating and deativating CS6 occurs? Thanks.
