CS6 issues with OS X El Capitan

Installed el capitan and then went to run illustrator cs6 and a window would pop up to ask that I uninstall and reinstall the program. CS6 will not allow me to uninstall anything within the program.. Could that message actually have to do with the Java issues I've been hearing about? Is anyone else having this problem?

Warning about Mac OS X 10.11 El Capitan for at least one person's warning

CS6 is over 3 years old and is no longer being updated, so I don't know if anyone will be able to help
