CS6 .pkg fails for indeterminate reason. Troubleshooting steps & logs in post body.

I have a copy of the CS6 Master Collection, which I cannot get to install on my iMac, running OSX 10.10.5.

Troubleshooting I've tried so far:

ran the Adobe Cleanup Tool.
created a new, temporary admin acct and tried to install it with that.
enabled root user and tried installing it that way.
tried to install via terminal with sudo.
killed Safari Cloud as well as Safari Plugin Updater (delays the failure by approximately 60 additional seconds).
verified and repaired disk permissions, via terminal and disk utility.
direct downloaded the trials and registered a trial version of the software.

In each instance, the Installer gives the typical "The installation failed." message once the installer switches to "Validating package scripts," after <20s of running package scripts.

For anyone with similar issues who stumbles upon this post, here is the solution that worked for me:

Granting read & write access to all parent and child folders for me, admin users, and everyone
Enabling root user
Creating a new administrative user & installing with that
Killing all Safari cloud kernels
Starting the machine in safe mode
Removing all previous CC applications, etc. (Don't even bother with the cleaner, just delete everything yourself in the various library and root subfolders.)
