I upgraded to the latest OS version on my Mac and lost all my CS6.  What can I do to get it back?

Thank you,

Bill

Hi JCC Student,

your information may be in your Adobe account. Please sign in with your credentials here‌, then go

to 'Plans & Products' and under 'Products', click on 'View your products'. Your registered CS6 apps

plus their serial numbers should be listed there - like this:

I hope that helps

You install programs exactly the same way you did the 1st time... put your disc in the drive and enter your serial number when asked

.

Download & Install instructions https://forums.adobe.com/thread/2003339 may help

-includes a way to go to a page to download Adobe programs if you don't have a disc or drive

-Cloud desktop http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/help/creative-cloud-desktop.html

-Cloud Getting Started https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud.html

-you will need to enter your original serial number during install for non-Cloud programs

-or kglad links in reply #1 here https://forums.adobe.com/thread/2081216 may help

Also go to https://forums.adobe.com/community/creative_cloud/creative_cloud_faq

IF Mac El Capitan read below

CS6 and earlier programs have not been tested and will not be updated to run on Mac El Capitan

-which means that you try to use CS6 and earlier at YOUR risk of having problems

-you may get CS6 and earlier programs to install and run, or you may not (some do, some don't)

-Java https://helpx.adobe.com/dreamweaver/kb/dreamweaver-java-se-6-runtime.html may help

Install CS5 on Mac 10.11 https://forums.adobe.com/thread/2003455 may help (also for other than CS5)

-also a TEMPORARY security change https://forums.adobe.com/thread/2039319

I now have EL Capitan. Can I go back to an earlier version? What else can I do to get my CS6 back?

‌Since this is a public forum, I removed the email address from your first post.

Have you tried intalling CS6 again, as John stated?

Thank you for removing my email address.

I cannot try installing CS6 again because I no longer have it disc or serial number.  It was installed back in 2011 (I think) all my Adobe things were lost in a move.  Is there another way to get my info back on my computer?

Thanks a lot,

Bill

‌If you didn't format your drive when you upgraded to El Captain, you may want to run the CC Cleaner Tool before reinstalling.

You can find the CS6 installers here: Download Adobe Creative Suite 6 applications  Be sure you download the correct installer.

And: Find your Adobe product serial number quickly

If you have any issues with installation on the new El Captain OS, refer to John's reply (reply #1)
