Hi,
I had to reinstall Lightroom 6 on my new (2015) macBook Pro after my old computer collapsed. I installed all files and software from my Time machine backup. Starting up Lightroom only new computer, I am asked to give type serial number and finally told I have to deinstall Lightroom from my old computer. This is not possible, as it cannot be accessed. How can I get Lightroom stop threatening me to do this within 4 days?
Kolbein
Kolbeinl73044633 I would begin by uninstalling the current installation of Lightroom 6 if possible. Lightroom 6 is designed to be installed as opposed to being copied/restored from a Time Machine backup.
If you need a fresh copy of the installation files they are available at Install Photoshop Lightroom .

Thanks Jeff. I have deinstalled LR6 and installed LR& from my original dvd, filled in the serial number, got the message of a successful installation, but starting LR6 does not allow me to open it. Clicking on "retry activation.." tells me that the maximum allowed numbers of computes is met. What now?

Kolbeinl73044633 please try activating again. I have increased the activation count so you should now be able to activate successfully. If you ever receive this error message again please don't hesitate to contact our support team directly at Contact Customer Care .
I would also recommend bookmarking Activate and deactivate Adobe products which describes how to activate and deactivate Adobe software titles including Lightroom 6.
