Definition of "a personal computer" for CS Student and Teacher?

I understand , that a Creative Suite (SC5 in my case) can only be used on a personal computer. Now I'm wondering, whether a computer I have recieved from my scientific institute for work and personal use (I do manage the computer myself) does qualify as being personal?

Many thanks in advance for the help.

My apologies please see http://www.adobe.com/education/student-eligibility-guide.html.  In specific you will want to reference the following:

Adobe academic discounted software is available for students, teachers, staff, and institutions. You can purchase software for your personally owned computer or those owned by your school. See if you or your school is eligible for low education prices. The following requirements apply to the United States and Canada.

It appears I was in error and you will not be able to install the software on your employer's computer.

From your description the computer you received is owned by employeer.  I would recommend you first inquire with them if they have any restrictions for installing personal software.  If not as long as the software is not utilized for your work then it would not be a violation of agreement of being for personal use.

First of all, thank you for the prompt answer. And if I may allow myself a small followup question: considering, that my employer is not opposed to the use of personally licensed software, can I use that software (CS5) in the course of my scientific activities (e.g. in the design of figures for publications or presentation graphics) or only for personal purposes? If I understand the Student and Teacher FAQ correctly

Can I use my Adobe Student and Teacher Edition software for commercial use?
Yes. You may purchase a Student and Teacher Edition for personal as well as commercial use.

work-related use of CS5 should also not violate the EULA.
