Design Standard CS6 serial number not working

I have a serial number for CS6 Design Standard for Mac which I purchased in May 2013.   This is visible in my adobe account.   

For a while I had Creative Cloud installed on my computer have since removed that and wanted to revert back to CS6.   I have tried to reinstall the CS6 application on my Mac (the same computer as originally used) but when I enter the serial number, it says it is invalid. 

I have tried the "chat" help several times for this but they have been useless and not resolved my issue.   They told me to see out the "trial version" 30 days and then try inputting my serial number again.   That obviously didn't work.    Please can someone help me and perhaps issue a new serial number that actually works.

Hi Bani,   this does not help at all I'm afraid.    I don't know how you cannot just check out my serial number and revalidate it or something.    Please help
