I have a Creative Suite serial number that was purchased in 2011. If I search for the licence number, it says it's already in use, but I don't know which email it's linked to, or if it's linked to one, because I didn't buy it myself, but I'm asked to find out. So I would like to know if a licence purchased in 2011 is compatible with today's Creative Cloud.
Many thanks in advance!
i'm not sure what you mean. are you asking if cc a cs5.5 can coexist?
if so, yes.
You can not use a serial number for CS5.5 to use Creative Cloud apps, if that is what you are asking.
You have to purchase a subscription.
If your license is in use, then you need to deactivate the other computers before you install on a new one. Everytime you move to a new computer you needed to de-activate and activate on the new computer. But compatibility is a bigger question. On Windows, it's possible. You should search the forums if you run into a particular issue. On Mac it's not. CS5.5 was 32-bit and newer Mac OS systems are 64-bit only and will no longer install the older software.
