While it's good to know that that's how things are done by Adobe and how long it usually takes...

For one thing, in this case, Lightroom CC is from October 2017.

And I think that that's a generally unacceptable workflow for a multi-billion dollar company. Processes like that are usually automated, as they should be.

And even if they have to update manually - that shouldn't take more than roughly one man hour (including the whole line of communication). Which they should gladly pay for in order to gain just one happy customer and the positive reputation that comes with that.

Now, I am not satisfied and am obviously motivated to inform all security-conscious people that if they think that their work is too sensitive to store on a machine with internet access, they should think twice about buying from Adobe.

These are all very simple, basic management considerations. But... again, with a multi-billion dollar company, surely their management knows better. I guess it has worked so far but it'll have to keep working without me. Let's see what Phase One is offering...

Andreaso97689311, thanks for your feedback.

As Kglad suggested in message #1 we encourage individual members to use the Adobe Creative Cloud desktop application to download, install, maintain, and update the Adobe applications that are included with their membership.

We do maintain Download Creative Cloud apps as an alternative but it is only designed as a workaround.  If you are facing errors with installing CC applications, or updates, then please work to resolve those errors so that you are able to receive updates in the future.

If you need flexible installation options then I would recommend looking into a Creative Cloud for Team or Enterprise membership.  Both memberships allow you to control and create your own local installation files.  These files can then be deployed to the computers which require the use of Creative Cloud applications.  There is even the capability to customize the Creative Cloud desktop app if there are features or services that you do not wish to utilize.

On a sidenote - you're Adobe (or you at least represent them). Nobody should have to update those links manually. There should be an automated release system in place. You can afford that.

Or... you know - just get rid of the page with the direct download links if you don't want to invest the funds for maintaining it.

Good to know that Team/Enterprise memberships offer what I want. Thanks.
