Hi there,

I am working on a surface pro 6, so no DVD drive to install my hard copy of Design and Web Premium CS6. I can no longer find a download link to download any element of it, despite it appearing in my Registered Products on my profile.

Can anyone help?

Tom

Tom, I reviewed your account and you have an educational license of Design and Web Premium CS6 registered to your account.  You will need to use the installation files that were provided with your purchase to install the software.  The retail installation files, that are available from our chat support team at Contact Customer Care , will not accept an educational serial number.

if you still have the DVD for your installation files then I would recommend you use a computer which does feature an optical drive to copy the files to a USB drive.  You can then install from the USB drive on your new Surface Pro.  Alternately, you may want to consider purchasing an external DVD reader/burner.

If you don't have the DVD available, then please contact your educational institution to see if they have the files available.

Excellent, Tom!  I would also recommend you back up the install files, in multiple locations, in case you need them again.

The Education licenses for Creative Suite were always tied to specific installers that were different from the files offered for retail licenses.  It wasn't until Creative Suite 6 that the installer accepted volume licenses.  Those licenses also are tied to different installation files that are available at https://licensing.adobe.com/.  You can also find more information at Error: "The serial number is not valid for this product" | Adobe Creative Suite .

One other tip, please make sure to apply the updates for CS6 before installing a current release of Adobe Reader.  If Adobe Reader is already pre-installed, then you may want to remove the software before installing and updating CS6.  This will help make sure you do not face any errors during the update process.
