Downloading online-registered software

I purchase Adobe Acrobat X Std. through dell as a bundle with Office 2003 Pro when we order new machines.  When I recieve a machine, I am given a license "card" with a serial key for one copy on it.  Acrobat is pre-loaded onto the machines I order.

So... I need the setup files.  Dell does not offer a download.  I have registered the Acrobat license key here on Adobe.com however they do not provide links to download (that I can find at least).  I can see that you can download purchased software, but I purchased it from Dell.

How do I get my software that I freakin' purchased?  All I need is an exe.  If Adobe is already installing a effing license service on my computer to prevent pirated use, why are they not allowing me to download?  The way Adobe has designed this system is extremely frustrating and undermines legitimate customers.  I have incentive to stop purchasing and pirate this!

Thanks for the help.

PS-I accidentally posted this in the creative cloud subforum... if someone of authority sees it, please delete.

Correct answer

Butcheeks what error message do you receive when you enter the serial number for Acrobat X Standard?  Also have you contacted Dell to determine where they include the install files for the bundled software?

I get the error message that I have entered an invalid key.

But, I concede, you helped me solve my problem Jeff.  My Dells come with Adobe already installed - I did not think the setup files would be included in the \program files\ program folder.  But they are!  Cheers,

Trials can be activated with all sorts of serials and that should do the trick.

I just tried using the Adobe X Pro trial and it does not accept standard keys.  There is still currently NO WAY TO PROCURE MY $130 PURCHASED SOFTWARE.  This is a joke.
