Downloading Photoshop Elements 12

I purchased Phtoshop Elements 12 and tried to download it using the Akamai Download Manger. My OS is Windows 8.  It indicates that the software has downloaded but when I try to open it I get an error message saying it is having problems extracting files.  No matter what folder I choose I get the same message.
