I've tried to install with Creative Cloud about 4 times now.  Each time I get the error pasted below.

I've uninstalled Dreamweaver CC via Windows uninstall, reboot then go through the installation process without luck.

Logged in as local admin with elevated rights.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks!

Zas_saZ did you adjust the file permissions on the C:\Windows\Fonts\ folder?  Did you apply those changes to all enclosed child objects per Error "Exit 6" or "Exit 7" | Install log | Read, write, system file errors | CS5, CS5.5 - http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-suite/kb/error-exit-6-exit-7.html?

Is there any other additional steps you have performed besides the use of the CC Cleaner tool?

Hello,

I also had to do this experience. Sometimes - for whatever reasons - CC doesn't "want" to work. In this case you should CC completely delete and reinstall by help of Adobe Creative Cloud Cleaner Tool (WIN is not enough!).

I quote: ... helps resolve installation problems for Adobe Creative Cloud and Adobe Creative Suite (CS3-CS6) applications. The tool removes installation records for prerelease installations of Creative Cloud or Creative Suite applications. It does not affect existing installations of previous versions of Creative Cloud or Creative Suite applications.

Please use: http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-suite/kb/cs5-cleaner-tool-installation-problems.html. Please follow the prescribed sequence of operations

If necessary and for further questions and if "open" please use chat, I had the best experiences.

Hi Preran

I went through the steps for fixing the Exit Code 7 issues and still no luck.  All applications with CS6 MC and CC install and look to open and run fine.

It is just Dreamweaver CC that is not installing properly.  It gets to 84% complete then Errors out.

I've just used the Adobe cleaner tool and removed CS6 and CC completeley.  Trying over form scratch.  Installing CS6 first then I'll go thorugh CC again.

Any other suggestions?

Thanks for your help.

Hi Jeff A Wright

Yes I went through and verified the file permissions for the fonts folder and child objects.  All looks good.

After doing so, I tried to re-install Dreamweaver and here are the new errors I get:

Exit Code: 7

Please see specific errors below for troubleshooting. For example, ERROR: DF012, DF024 ...

-------------------------------------- Summary --------------------------------------

- 0 fatal error(s), 2 error(s)

----------- Payload: Adobe Dreamweaver CC 13.0.0.0 {00E094E1-A852-11E2-803D-ACEA632352B4} -----------

ERROR: DF012: Unable to find file(Seq 8626)

ERROR: DF024: Unable to preserve original file at "C:\Windows\Fonts\SourceCodePro-Light.ttf" Error 32 The process cannot access the file because it is being used by another process.(Seq 8626)

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Not sure what other file is accessing SourceCodePro-Light.ttf ??

All other CC programs install without issue.

Other steps I've performed:

I completely removed CS6 and CC via the CC Cleaner tool and re-installed and updated.

Verified in the windows program removal tool that the software was removed after a reboot and it was.

Solution 1 in your link (Error "Exit 6" or "Exit 7" | Install log | Read, write, system file errors | CS5, CS5.5) did not apply as the folders did not exist.

Solution 2 is not applicable as it is not the error that is reporting out.

Thanks for your continued help in finding a solution!

Zas_saZ It looks like you have an application which is using the SourceCodePro font.  You may want to try moving the font out of the C:\Windows\Fonts\ folder temporarily.  If that is the only remaining error then you should be able to install once that font is no longer in use.  If it does fail again then please look at your update log file for the most recent error.

If you continue to receive errors regarding fonts you may want to look at any font management utilities or other Start Up Items which you may be running.  Please feel free to update this discussion with any additional specific errors you receive.

Hi Jeff A Wright

All is good.  Dreamweaver CC successfully installed and updated yesterday afternoon as well as the remaining CC applications. Thank you for your help!!!

I was not able to remove the SourceCodePro font until I rebooted the computer and loaded only Windows core services.  Meaning all other services were not loaded. I accomplished this by going through the System Configuration utility (Run--->MSCONFIG).

Thanks again for your help!!!
