Dreamweaver CS3 Volume License installation on a different computer

Greetings,

I have a windows license of Dreamweaver CS3, and I would like to transfer it to a new computer.  However, as it is a volume license, the "Deactivate" option is not available on the current machine.  What do I need to do to facilitate this transfer?

Thanks,

Scott

No, there isn't a way to do an OS swap for Creative Suite products. Volume licenses from what I know, are reserved for Enterprise users. I am not sure as to why you got that option when you installed.

I am moving your post to the Download and Install forum to see if the experts there have an idea.

Thanks.  You may cancel that move.  I was in a Hell of my own making.  In reading of others in similar problems, I saw the mention of needing to install from original media.  My first installation was from a download of DW CS3.  I had the original disk, as well, so I uninstalled DW, and then reinstalled from the disk.  Presto!  The serial number now works.  Disappointed that I cannot convert the Mac license, but I can't have it all, now can I...

If it's the same operating system, install on your new computer.  I'm almost certain Volume Licenses do not need to be deactivated in order to run on another machine.  That's the whole point of a volume license.

Based on what I have read, if deactivate isn't available under Help, then the installation was registered as a volume license install.  However, I can't activate the new install without first deactivating a previous installation, so I am stuck.  Another option is that I also have a license for a Mac version.  Can that be converted into a windows license?
