Dreamweaver worked perfecty until I upgraded my OS to Big Sur (Mac). Do you have a fix to make it work?
>fix to make it work?
Yes... revert your Mac to a compatible operating system
I do NOT know if these revert to older links will work with BS

CS5 is discontinued & unsupported so no, there is no fix. CS5 will never work on Catalina or Big Sur. It's too old.
OPTION 1: Find and dedicate an old computer with Mojave on it to your decade-old legacy software. And NEVER upgrade that machine again.
OPTION 2: Get modern software that's compatible with Big Sur and beyond.

Big Sur blocked ALL apps older than 2019. Your budget needed to cover buying all apps again.
If you're interested, you can install a virtual machine to support other operating systems.
Parallels 17 didn't exist when Big Sur came out. It just arrived last month in preparation for Apple Monterey (due out later this year). Also Parallels is not freeware. It costs about 80 euros/yr.

They did not block all apps. Most of my apps still work.

Then your apps are NOT older than 2019. Anyway, CS5, CS6 are dead for you.
I don't see how you could have purchased CS5 just a few years ago - it has not been sold for more than 9 years (Cs6 replaces it in 2012). CS5 support ended in 2015 - 6 years before Big Sur.

I first purchased Dreamweaver LONG before it was owned by Adobe. When I upgraded my OS it no longer worked. I had to search for it, and found that it had been sold to Adobe. So, I purchased it a second time a few years ago. It is online and you can purchase it. Now when I update again, it no longer works. I am not happy that they want me to buy it a THIRD time. Not happy at all. Consequently, I will look for something else that is more affordable.

I'm afraid that's ancient history. Macromedia went out of business in 2006. Adobe stopped making Creative Suite in 2013. It hasn't been sold legally for many years.
All software has an expected shelf-life of 2-3 years beyond which you're using it at your own risk. There's no such thing as "forever software." Every product no matter who makes it has an end of life date.
Apple began transitioning to 64-bit hardware and software technology over a decade ago. And Apple gave Mac owners plenty of advanced warning that legacy 32-bit apps would stop working beyond Mojave. See Apple's statement below.

Apple regularly change macOS to block all old apps. This is what you buy into. It's all part of the joy of Mac ! Of course, software makers enjoy selling the upgrades, but they don't enjoy all the time and money they have to put into standing still, when they could be developing new features. But no reason to think all that work should be free because you want Apple's new goodies and don't want to pay software developers...

My new OS was free.
Several of my 'fixes' were free so they would work with the new OS.
Not so for Microsoft or Adobe. Very poor credibility, thus time to look elsewhere.

CS5 is over 10 years old, and as has been said, support stopped long ago
As I said, an old program requires an old operating system

"My new OS was free." That is not an excuse for being reckless. You seem to demand that people do their work for free. Good luck with that approach to life.

That was a rude response. I had good reason to upgrade my OS, and have actually avoided it for a long time. I knew Microsoft would not work afterward, but did not know about Adobe until AFTER I upgraded. Adobe's website appears to still sell CS5, thus I thought there was an upgrade somewhere. That is why I asked. I thought I just missed it.

Some of the other apps have updates. One I had to purchase all over again. Doesn't seem fair to me. I purchased Dreamweaver just a few years ago and now you want me to purchase it again. There should be a discount or a free update.

You said "Dreamweaver worked perfecty until..."
You made the choice to upgrade your operating system, so if you want to continue to use that decade old program you need to keep using a decade old operating system... Adobe did not do anything to make CS5 stop working, that was Apple

This isn't abour respect. You want Adobe to have people that will give you a different answer. WARNING: you may hear from people who claim to be from Adobe and who DO give a different answer. This often happens. They are scammers. If you reply to them your problems will be just beginning, please be careful...

Since you had experience with an Apple upgrade causing a program to stop working, you should have checked for compatibility before upgrading again
Over on the Windows side Microsoft does a much better job of allowing for old programs... I still use Acrobat Pro 9 that is dated 6-12-2008... installed on Windows 7 and still works after installing Microsoft's free upgrade to Windows 10

Thank you very much. I did exactly what that article suggested (contact app developer to see if there is an update or one planned). Evidently not with adobe. Just wish their people were more polite in their responses.
