My Dreamweaver CS6 will not update even though the updater program claims success. I am trying to update to 12.3. My existing version is 12.0 Build 5861.
I noticed that user named
has had the same problem, but I have not noticed any solutions provided. I'm having the same problem as others with Dreamweaver saying that "Synchronization information can not be found... " Putting an edited file will not update on the web site server.

Do you have the right version of DWCS6 to update that far?
The Perpetual License (Disk/non-cloud version) is different from the Creative Cloud version of DWCS6 and won't allow you to update it as far.
Both are separate from the current version (DWCC version 13.2 build 6466).
EDIT: I'm not sure about version 12.3, but that looks like it would be a DWCS6 Cloud version number to me and wouldn't be available to a Disk/Download (non-cloud) version as an update.

I have a disk version. If this version cannot be updated as far, how can I fix the problem "Synchronization information can not be found... ?" Putting some edited files will not update on the website server.

Like I mentioned, I'm not sure about version 12.3, but this post seems to have some info that might help you...

As for the Synchronization issue, are you just doing a normal Put (up arrow icon) or are you attempting a Synchronize (small circular arrows icon)?
Using an actual Put action shouldn't care about synchronization info and if it were missing you should have the option to Put anyway.

The problem occurs on just a normal Put, and it doesn't occur on all edited files. For some reason it happens on some files. The files that won't be "Put" always have the problem; in other words, its repeatable on those files. In these cases, the only way I can update the file on the website server it to use a separate FTP transfer program.
I viewed your link that you included in your last post. It appears that others have the same problem trying to update. It looks like I'm stuck with version 12.0, at least for the time being.

Hi jslatter770,
I have moved your query to the Download and Install forum. The experts here are better placed to help.
Thanks,
Preran
