CC Install asks be to quit Dynamic Link Manager. I cannot since it does not appear as a running app. Mac OS X. Install over CS6 Production Premium

The problem re-occurs on occasion.
But killing the dynamiclink process in Activity Monitor solves the problem. In my case, that process appears twice - you need to kill all instances of it.
I suspect a hangover(s) from previous installs of various CS sftw.
CC Install should better implement the killing or de-install of that process.

I believe you need to go into your utilities folder and open "Activity Monitor"...look for Dynamic Link Manager in there. then quit the process. I had to do that to install my cs6.

I was using a Windows machine while experiencing this error. I canceled a pending java install from the tray (right click > cancel) and that resolved the issue.

I wen to Utilities, as another user suggested, but there was no "dynamic link manager." However, there was "dynamic_pager". I tried to force quit it a few times but it would not quit. Still, after trying to quit it, I ran the update, and it installed 100%. I'll now restart my MBP and see what happened. If it crashes, I'll update this post. Otherwise, we've found the solution. I am running Mac OSX 10.9.5 and Photosho 13.0.6 x64, part of the Adobe big set plus the latest Lightroom.

I tried to uninstall Adobe After Effects CS6 and had the same problem except Adobe dynamiclinkmanager did not exist. It appears that you need to quit the menu bar module which updates Creative Studio and then it works fine. Just click on the Creative Cloud icon in the top menu bar (on Mac OS X) and then click the settings icon and then quit. This worked for me and the uninstall continued.

I killed MS Edge in task manager and that was it. I Think MS Edge use some feature whith collide with Adobe updater or use same system files.
