Elements 9 serial number for re-install

My PC crashed last week following a Windows 10 update. To fix it I had to reset the PC, reinstall Windows 10, etc and rebuild the machine.

Photoshop Elements 11 installed in 2013 was on the PC when it crashed. I have downloaded the software to reinstall on the machine but it needs a "serial number" for the licence.

I have the original Adobe retail card and 'redemption code' for the non-subscription software, which was originally bought from PC World in December 2013.

I have been to the 'redeem your purchase' screen on https://redeem.licenses.adobe.com/getserial . However, the original redemption code does not generate a serial number for the installation (just a message that "The code you entered is invalid. Please try again.").

Is there any way to get to the serial number associated with the redemption code, so I can complete the install? Unfortunately, the product and serial number does not show up on my Adobe account.

Any suggestions appreciated.

Thanks, Jon

no, redemption codes can only be used once.

you have 3 ways to recover a serial number that you once had:

    1. if you purchased from or registered with adobe (automatically done with cs6):,

        a. you can check your account, https://accounts.adobe.com

        b. you can check with adobe support* (be prepared to give the email address used when registering purchasing)

    2. if your adobe program is installed on another computer you can recover its serial number from that computer, (win:) http://www.belarc.com/free_download.html, (mac:)  https://mac-product-key-finder.com/

    3. http://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/global/find-serial-number.html

Thanks. It seems my only option is to repurchase the product.

The Photoshop program is not registered to my Adobe account (1), nor installed on another computer (2) and the redemption code was used at the original install (3).

This appears to be an unfortunate consequence of PC World having done the initial PC build for me in 2013, as I only got the redemption card back from them.
