error 150:30 Photoshop Elements 8 & Licensed Recovery Launcher does not work

Hello,

I have a 'new' refurbished IMAC since yesterday. All data & programs were perfectly transferred from my old Imac to the new one.

This morning I started Photoshop Elements and got the error 150:30 message. I ask the shop where I bought my refurbished

Imac. They said Uninstall en Install again with the serial nummer. I did this, uninstall - restart - install. Two times but sadly I keep

getting the same errormessage.

After a search on internet I found Licenserecovery. When i installed this and opened it, I got this message:

The License Recovery Launcher program can not be opened,
because PowerPC applications are no longer supported.

(Het programma LicenseRecoveryLauncher kan niet worden geopend,

omdat de PowerPC-programma's niet langer wordt ondersteund)

Can you please advice me on how I can install PSE 8 on my Imac?

Thank you!

Daphne

if you don't want to try gener7's work-around, or it fails, you can use a 7 day pse15 trial: Buying guide | Adobe Photoshop Elements 15 vs 14, 13

never transfer/migrate adobe programs.  properly install them using the installation files.

that said, your mac os is incompatible with adobe software that uses power pc so there's probably nothing you could have done to get pse 8 to work on your current os.

    for compatible programs:

uninstall your adobe programs after securing/saving your serial numbers

clean per Use the Creative Cloud Cleaner Tool to solve installation problems

    restart your computer

reinstall using the installation files and activate with your serial number.

Thank for the reply and answer.

So if I understand you correctly: it is best to buy Photoshop Elements 15 and install this program om my 'new' refurbished IMac?

How can I be sure that PSE15 will install?

Actually kglad's advice does make better sense if you have the funds to go with something 7 versions advanced. The license fix is just if you want to to free fix it. Also OSX 10.12 Sierra does not play well with older Adobe products.

I work with OSX 10.12 so the best option for me is to purchase PSE 15.

Thank you kglad and gene for your advice!
